Hi Sue and Dave

We're glad you're not getting despondent as we have had some major concerns. We have recently been in contact with our solicitor because of multiple problems in Phase 2. Our pool has never been in a usable state since just after we completed and the children's pool has never had water in it to date. We still seem to be the only people in Phase 2 and we have a massive problem with damp mouldy walls and water on the floor in the apartment after all the bad weather. A lot of the apartments need repairs but are unoccupied. We were told that 24 of the 96 apartments would be completed and occupied but we have not seen another soul there ever! There is never any communal lighting on in the grounds and the garage door is badly rusted and doesn't open fully most of the time. We also have nobody to contact when we arrive to get water and electricity back on althouh Alfonso has rescued us every time so far but he told me last time that's it's not really his job and gave the impression that he might not always be able to rescue the situation at short notice. That's a worry as we have two small children. Our air con/heating isn't working either.

Has anyone seen the pool/grounds in Phase 2 recently who could comment on their condition?

Cheers

Rod

Hi Robbie/Barbara

Thanks for that. We'll sadly be in rainy (hopefully snowy later) Glasgow for Christmas but the inlaws will likely use the apartment then! Hopefully we'll come back at New Year and maybe see you then.

Hi all

We recently moved in on Phase 2 and seem to be the only people there although different potential new buyers have been brought to the apartment next door to us to have a look. On builder's water and electricity so meters have not been installed yet. Still a few problems to sort out like the locks on the communal gates being absent or broken or we just dont have the right key, showers by the pools, electric garage doors, lights around the grounds not working etc. But who do you speak to for what - never really know whether I should contact Paco or Alfonso or does it not matter. Paco has been great though at getting stuff done. Just taking on one thing at a time. Recently had our sewage outflow pouring into the garage but Paco got folk to sort out the drains - they were working for a couple of days. They are still working on the road up to Coto Real - hopefully not long until it's open up to the roundabout.

At least we have Sky TV thanks to Tom, although I think he wasn't that keen to install it for us because we are the first to complete and he might have a bit of a wait for the others. However he knocked a road block into my wife's foot as he was driving past and mashed her toe - blood everywhere - so I think he felt he had to do it after that. We bailed out on the wifi installation at 340 euros - seemed quite a lot.

Did any of you get post box keys? We don't seem to have one and no idea which box would be ours either.

Does anyone know a local shop in Sabi that sells electricity surge protectors?

Any advice on these things much appreciated.

Rod

HI all

Just back from a very brief trip. Had a lovely, but unfortunately very short, meeting with Margo and her family - thanks so much for your help Margo. I have posted some photos of Phase 2 including the garage under block 1. Phase 4 looks finished too. There are a few tidying up jobs around the grounds and some cosmetic snagging that needs doing. The pool filter was not running but it looks almost usable in Phase 2 with a bit more filtering. The gardens generally look good in phase 2 and well maintained at the moment. The toilet/changing cubicles by the pool need doors and cleaning. Our apartment was very dusty and needs a few things fixed. There is no water or electricity for Block 1 in Phase 2 it seems yet. The road is still being worked on beyond the back of Phase 2. The Penoncillo road is still not open all the way up from the main road but all entrances to Phases 1,2, and 4 can be reached by car even if the garage itself is not accessible. Not much happening in Phases 5 and 6 by the looks of it and we may be left with skeleton buildings as neighbours for a while, but work going on in the grounds of Phase 2. The garage under block 1 is not usable yet due to some cables hanging across the gateway although the actual entrance to the garage is ready. There is a large sign up saying that apartments are for sale from €159,000. Andalucian Dream Homes (from whom we bought) have not got much that's nice to say about the development but Margo spoke to another estate agent locally whose opinion was the complete opposite. Apparently 45/96 apartments are sold in Phase 2. Are more people out there who have bought in phase 2 to help confirm if this is true?

That sounds great actually Suzanne. I misunderstood your last post and thought the contract tied you in for 39 euros every month. A week at a time is ideal and 19 Euros is not much when most hotels charge £6-10 for 24 hours. Did you need your passport to buy this?
