Hi,
In reply to your request about buying in Duquesa / Costa Del Sol, all I can advise is some of the things we deduced after our recent property search.
Firstly, if your really serious about buying, you really must be there, and look at all that is available, (and I don't mean for just a couple of weeks), this will really help you to "see through" a lot of the sales pressure, and give you a balanced view of what is really available.
Secondly, after a little research, (and talking to a lot of people), it seemed to us, that if you needed to let your property, for more than the three main summer months (June, July, August,) you should try to buy "beachside", otherwise, you could end up paying several months maintenance charges every year, on an empty property.
Finally, there really is some beautful property available, and at bargain prices,(provided that the euro doesn't improve too much !!!) ,however, we believe if it's an investment your looking for, you should prepared to be in it, for the medium to long term, (7-10 years), to make any profit.
Best of luck.................A & S.
