As it stands the strike is still going on but agreements have been signed by 80% of truckers unions, only 2 haven´t. However, as I work in a logistics company, I am aware that a great number of comapnies that should technically be back working are not because they are too nervous after a number of assaults on truckers choosing to go back to work. The border with France is open and some lorries are getting through but I don´t think it´s at all back to normal as yet, despite what the government says.

I agree with this, I don´t think the Spanish strike can do much good when applied to European transport. The SPanish truckers basically want a basic tariff, but can they really expect this tariff to then be forced upon companies in other countries using Spanish truckers? Therefore, I do think a Europe-wide policy is required.

Exactly, although the relative cost of petrol in Spain is 92p in the UK you have to take into account the higher cost of living in the UK and higher wages.
