I feel so sorry for all those 'owners' who have bought on Camposol and i know MASA are the main culprit for the woes that follow. But, why is it that no-one seems to explain how they were duped into buying these ilegal properties in the first place?

I feel sure 99% were duped by the english speaking estate agents who work out of Camposol.

I know for a fact that Luz Del Sol sell illegal properties to unwitting clients yet they still continue to operate and i assume to make money!

It is beyond me as to why a Denuncia has not been taken out against them?

Thankfully there are other agencies who appear somewhat more honest, but if all details are given to new clients, surely they would never buy on Camposol in the first place?

A confused reader.

Looking for a more temperate climate?

The most obvious choice would be to move nearer to the sea.

The Med. allows for cooler summers of around 30/35' in summer and around 13/20 in winter.

Both Alicante and Murcia can offer these temperatures and with very little rainfall, the outdoor lifestyle is available all year round.

Towns to consider might be Alicante, Calpe, Altea, Cartagena, Mazarron and Aguilas.

From my personal experience I found Aguilas to have a remarkable climate, pleasant sea front and harbour and plenty of walking and cycling space both north and south of the town.

Good luck with your search. And enjoy it.

Mazarron Country Club

One other important aspect of buying in Spain is using a good solicitor and being careful when choosing an estate agency.

Some have terrible reputations, such as Luz Del Sol in Camposol who are quick to take your money but are content selling illegal properties to unwitting buyers and charging commissions to sellers even when the agncy failed to sell the property - so I have been told directly by some unhappy home sellers.

I would suggest, Don't Buy For Cash. Use a local bank for at least a part of the purchase and take their advice!

All the best whatever you decide.

Mazarron Country Club was originally called Mazarron Golf & Country Club

The builder obviously thought it was easier to rename the place rather than actually fulfill his obligations and build a Golf Course!

He has since been sued but it is a long slow process here in Spain.

He lost his deposit of 1.7 million but that will be used to complete some of the works he failed to do, such as connecting the electricity supply. Until recently, half of the urbanization was still running on oil generator.

I live in the arae and know a couple of people who live there and they say its a nice area but lacks services as there is only one restaurant and no bars or shops.

Completed homes appear to be well built, which cannot be said for the adjacent complex of Camposol where hundreds of homes have severe build quality problems and where the builder (Masa) has left the site and is being persued in the courts foir failing to complete roads, electric and water infrastructure etc.

This area of Murcia is beautiful in places, has an amazing dry and sunny climate and allows for a healthy lifestyle that is a real joy.

But at the end of the day, its all down to personal choice.

A previous responder said why not look along the coast for a villa. If your funds spread that far, its a nice option. The coast is lovelly in both Mazarron and slightly further south in Aguilas too.

Good luck

Paramount Park and Lifestyle Center took a few steps forward yesterday as the plan was unveiled in madrid.

It was then sent out by many press outlets, some wrongfully stating that Paramount were to pay for the 1100 million euros project.

In fact, the reason the unveiling took place in madrid to an invited audience was to look for investors to actually pay for this huge plan.

Even so, the land is being cleared and the first building steps are said to begin in Spring 2012 and be completed for Easter 2015 so that should put a smile on many people's faces as the increased visitor numbers can only bring an improvement to the local economy.

The only downside is the huge car numbers estimated to want to visit the site each day but hopefully most of that will be along the main motorways and not unduly affect local towns accept when the visitor wishes to explore and enjoy local hospitality, whish will be a good thing.

It should offer a few thousand work opportunities too which will be warmly welcomed by many.
