Hi we were out for Easter also. We watched the procession from the bottom of the Calle de Bornos. Very impressive and we watched the early bull run from near the Gallo Azul (behind the big steel barriers).. It was absolutely mental, never seen anything quite like it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time ther again, also can't wait to get back out. Shame we didn't get the chance to meet up. We met quite a few residents this time and everyone seems so friendly and helpful.

There is talk of having a BBQ in the complex in the summer for all, hope that can be arranged.

We passed the hotel / bar Voy Voy several times and it seemed quite busy with locals and seemed to have been done up a bit, didn't get chance to try it out.

Just back from Arcos today had a fantastic couple of weeks.

If, like me, you need a daily dose of free Wi Fi for the morning e - paper and some social networking here are my top tips-

Please let me know if there are others

Cerveceria El Portichuelo

(breakfast hotspot – Coffee and toast for less than €2)
First right in to Calle Zarzalena (at the top of the complex)
Junction turn right Calle Carlos Saura and immediately right down to
roundabout turn left Calle Alejandro.
Cafe is on other end of this street on left.

Cafeteria Bonsay

Calle de Bornos – Up the hill continue down the one way street the wrong way – half way down on the right. Open most nights from 8pm.

Hostel / Bar Zindicato

Towards the top of Calle de la Corredera (the main street)

On the left set back slightly before you reach the Parador

(Also serves the best value tapa in town)

Casa Pozo Hondon

Calle de las Nieves close to the lower end of the Calle de Algar in the town

(Open most morning and evenings)

Also the cafe in Alcampo in Jerez (near Ikea) has free wifi.

We are reliably informed that a water tanker arrived today and filled the pool

Hopefully it will be OK to swim in the pool very soon

Great news - Our friends head out tomorrow. If there is any news will let you know here.

Re terrace furniture - we had a look at Jysk opposite Bricor close to Ikea in Jerez. They had a small but very well priced selection. Also Leroy Merlin had more but we thought more expensive. Carrefour (North) in Jerez had a good selection, also not badly priced.
