We used mamsolicitors.com based in San javier near the notary. Cost was 240euros for a joint will including notary fees and again was very quick and efficient. We also used them for completion and they were also a lot cheaper than what some other people paid.

I think and hope your utility estimate of 100 euros a month is way too high. We have only been out about 5 times this year but the charges are a lot less than 100 euros a month.
After completion they are a higher due to connection charges. One of the utility companies charges the connection charges over 3 months ( I think it was approx 70 euros per month ), which I didn't realise and thought our costs were too high initially. since then they have reduced dramatically.

Also noticed some debate on the golf courses. As a keen golfer who has played many different course I can confirm that the course is very good with an excellent layout. The greens and fairways are coming on very well but the rough needs some tlc - hopefully we may seem some grow over winter.
El Valle is also very good but I think HR provides the best challenge - certainly for better golfers.

On a recent trip to HR resortalia told me that we would get 3 direct debits to recover the 08 community charge. From memory this was August, September and Novemeber I think. Next year it will be done in 4 quarterly instalments starting in January.
Se also gave me a copy of the charges for our block, which were in the region of 1,300 to 1,500 euros pa - divide this by 3 and you get the direct charge you will have seen.

If you completed prior to 1/1/08 then there re no charges for this period. W have only been debited with the charges from 1/1/08 so can't imagine the mystery payment is anything to do with community charges.

We did enquire about the legal position last year ( prior to completion ) as we were concerned about the lack of progress on facilities. Our solicitors advised us that it would be hard not to complete as we were purchasing the apartment, however, they did say that if the facilities were not forthcoming then there would be a very good case to sue for compensation. This was due to the fact that the facilities were/still are big selling point used by HR. They advised the more difficult bit would be determing what value to attribute to the lack of facilities.
