Yes there is a possibility of joint action against the banks.  Maria de Castro is willing to take the case on but as far as I know not many people have returned the Data request form to her so the cost is quite high. If more people respond then there is a good chance that the cost will reduce.Trudge sent the form to me so she may be able to send out a copy if you are interested.

Has anyone else had a phone call from a representative of Huma offering ACC clients 'key ready' properties in Algorfa and Almaradi at knock down prices? It seems that they are owned by the banks , are completely legal and heavily discounted for clients of ACC! Would appreciate views on this offer.

In answer to question asked by Trudge. Yes, I asked my current lawyer at Fusters about action against the banks. They considered that it would not be successful and advised that we continue with action against the builder. I am not very happy with this course of action and am just waiting to see if the price quoted by Maria will reduce if more people get involved.

Yes , we used Currencies Direct which were recommended by the agent (Parador Properties!) as was the law firm (Fusters). It would be interesting to know if anyone else has been given this so called advice about the court action against banks.

Thanks for that information. We deposited the money with our solicitor in Spain who then transferred it to the developers bank account. I shall be asking him to explain the points that you have made in your post. I will keep you all informed  his response...if any!
