My partner and myself bought a property in Spain at the end of last year. We made a Spanish solicitor power of attourney that came with recomendations. We asked them back at the beginning of October 2014 to process our non resident tax which they charged a fee for. I emailed them yesterday as I did not receive a receipt for this and they have emailed back saying that our NIE numbers are not registered with the tax office. They now want to charge us another 100 euros to register our numbers at the tax office and present the forms.

Has anyone heard of this? I'm not sure what this means, I thought when they set up up our NIE numbers that is for the tax??

I would be grateful of any info on this, I'd tried reading all sorts on the internet but nothing seems to talk about this.
