We have recently received this from our solicitor with regard to the pool;

"the pool which will be built as part of your urbanisation will be for public use and will be built in a public area owned by the Town Hall, on or next to the urbanisation. The construction of the pool should be starting soon once the Town Hall has provided Taray with the building license to begin work. However, Taray is unable to provide a date when this is likely to start or when it will be finished"

It is all resting on the Town Hall and, as this is Spain, all things move alot slower then we are use to in the UK ! but this slower pace of life is what some of us are looking for.  I agree you wouldn't buy a car with no engine, but that's the gamble of buying off plan . San Cayetano will be our permanant home and we leave the UK early September. Part of the attraction was to live in a semi rural area, but one that had good links to airports, shopping, beach etc. and we are looking forward to it greatly.

I do feel that some of the comments made on threads, regarding this matter ,have become unpleasant. It is everyones right to have, and voice an opinion but lets keep it friendly....after all we may be living next door to each other at sometime in the future !!

Hi All

Have just spoken to Parador who have assured us that it is the UK company that has gone into voluntary administration not the overseas part. They have said that a new , accurate press release is about to happen that will confirm that they are not in trouble....

With regard to the pool issue at San Cayetano..... Parador have said that Taray have submitted all the required paperwork and hope to commence building in the summer........

We wait with baited breath !!!!

Having read some of the recent threads over the weekend..we emailed Taray and have just heard from Teresa Cervera...so they are still there!

We are purchasing a quad on Manzana 5 and Teresa has confirmed that it will be ready on 31st July as per contract,and we will be able to sign the title deeds and visit the property. The letter/s confirming this have been sent today ! we'll let you know when it arrives.

We have also emailed our solicitor and contacted our agent with regard to the pool issue, and again will let you know what reply we receive.

Although there maybe issues I'm sure they will be resolved...all this negativity certainly gave me the jitters, as this will be our permenant home.

Hello Nan & Ewan

We are moving into no 49 Manzana 5, but as yet have had no word from Taray. Our contract states July 31st. we were over there about 5/6 weeks ago, and our quad looked almost finished. They were working on the ones just over the back. It's been along wait and hopefully we can be over in Spain and in by September fingers crossed.

Does any know how much it costs to fly a cat out to Spain?? we normally fly with Monarch aand assume that the cat would go as cargo ( she'll be delighted !!)
