Hi. I initially paid 300 euro + power of attorney costs to appoint a Spanish solicitor but have not heard anything from them for years and years and now I cannot get a response to emails or phone calls.

Having seen posts of people getting deposits back I have contacted Costa Luz Solicitors, they have sent me forms and requested copy contracts etc and then will then assess my chances of getting a refund and estimate costs - if you pm me I will let you let you know what response I get from them - I had no bank guarantee

Can anyone who has got their money back without a bank guarantee please give me contact details for their solicitor, I appointed one in 2008 paid for notary and their fee etc and heard nothing since. I get updates from San Jose but frankly was about to give up having not looked at this forum for years and see some lucky ones of you have made progress.

Any help of name of solicitor I can trust would be great - if anyone one is in same position and wants to join me I am happy to try and co-ordinate something in a last ditch attempt TO GET MY MONEY BACK

We have a translated copy of the text - send us a PM with your email and we can send it over. We are trying to establish whether we have to use a solicitor to communicate with the administrators or if we can send in relevant paperwork - presume just original of contract? Like you we don't want to spend more money to recover nothing. Does anyone know?
