We were there at the same time and apparently someone had got drunk in the Irish Bar and put the windows in. It was an isolated case, nothing to worry about. We were in there a few times after this and there were no problems.
However, that bar and Alfies is up for sale which may explain why Alfies isn't open as much as it used to be. However, it's still open most evenings and certainly Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
I have heard on the grapevine that the Square bar is also up for sale but I didn't see any signs when I was there. Let's hope that someone buys these bars otherwise it's going to be dire!
