Hi,
We were wondering if anyone else has had problems with the costs of the electricity connection. Originally 6,9Kw was contracted for us but this didn't seem to be sufficient as the system tripped if the oven and two hob plates were on at the same time. Clearly not easy to cook a meal. Perhaps we need to turn off the lights and cook in the dark! Anyway, that connection cost us 211 euros.
Subsequently our lawyer had it upgraded to 13,8 Kw. That cost a further 310 euros. We have already paid more than we thought we would pay to run the apartment for a year and we have hardly used any actual electricity.
I have read various estimates that suggest that 6kw or so would be ample for our needs, though either that is not correct or there is something wrong with how it all works in the apartment. Indeed, with 13kw we could probably run the whole commercial centre or a small factory.
Comments would be very welcome. It seems to be difficult to get an accurate picture on this.
Best wishes,
Mike and Sandra
