Hi all!

Have read all your comments on corrupt solicitors which helped a bit. However I am looking for a good solicitor in the Alicante / Murcia area. Can anyone recommend? Would like to know of any good solicitors as well as the ones to avoid as I am web searching at the moment

I know is too late for some, as when I visited La Cañada in November 2007 there were several residents living on site.  However, I am surprise people have continued to complete after my visit as I mentioned it then.  This has also been the advise given by Maria Del Castro, solicitor, on the general forun of eyeonspain website. 

Your solicitor and  notario should have pointed this out to you; or thought it was not law at the time.  In my spanish family and friends experiences, it has always been their legal representatives advise no to complete without this certificate.  I believe it is now a legal requirement, or thought some people have chosen to complete without .

I was told by "el aparejador municipal" they will not be issuing certificates of first occunpancy until Villamartin completes the  infrastructure and is inspected and approved by the Town Hall.  He mentioned in particular, the drainage and sewage systems have not been inspected.  Aparently Villamartin has promised to complete all outstanding work by 31 December 2008 (I am not holding my breath).

No one should complete the purchase without this certificate.

• I am spanish and have been and will continue to keep in direct contact with Town Hall Officials.
