NEW YEAR'S EVE

A member of the community here in Torre Alcantara came up with an idea for New Year's Eve.  If enough people were interested could we hire a room in the civic centre in Balsicas and have a community New Year's Eve Party.

Well this person was Barry and he swiftly went around the community with his wife Georgie asking as many people as possible if they were interested in this.

The feedback was positive, Yes!  If we could get the room and how much etc.

Well the room has been booked at no charge to us.  All we have to do is provide our own food and drink.  Tables and chairs are currently being sourced i.e. hired if possible, music, decorations etc., are all in hand, so all is set.

 I have heard that in Spain it is necessary to fit or have fitted electricial surge boxes as they tend to have power cuts and too many electrical appliances can trip out the electricity.

Has anyone fitted any protection or know of someone who does this.

Has anyone fitted or proposing to have fitted a water filter/purifier.  This will enable us to drink  the water straight from the taps.  If anyone has had a filter fitted, could you please let us have an idea of costs etc.
