Hi everyone 

We are hoping to travel to Alicante by train this summer. So our plan is to catch the eurostar to Paris, then the overnight train from Paris to Barcelona. We plan to stay in Barcelona for a couple of nights before travelling down to Alicante also by train. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to stop off along this route?

Was great to meet you both and the girls and looking forward to meeting up again in the summer.  Talking of which can anyone recommend a cheap care hire company?  I can't find anything cheaper than £450 for 18 days hire - I thought that expensive???  Maybe they saw my driving when we were out at Easter.............

Welcome back Dils - yes I can confirm you have found my beach!  We tended to go to the beach around 5pm in the summer just as most people were leaving so it was fairly quiet and peaceful (until we arrived anyway).  Was deserted when we were there over New Year which was just fab.

I wasn't jealous in the slightest at the sight of those lovely blue skies from your photos.............................
