 At the moment I am living in Cyprus, but considering moving to Spain (Mar Menor area). Can anyone tell me the tax thresholds in Spain please - here in Cyprus the personal allowance is €19500 - anything below this - no tax .  I am wondering if I would have to pay tax in Spain when registered there.

I'm new here so be gentle, please.  I am currently living in Cyprus, and have been here for almost 5 years, but now feel the time has come to move on.  I am considering the Mar Menor area of Spain but need some feedback.  Do you think it's suitable for a retired single lady?  I have asthma and really suffer here in Cyprus with all the dust and the extremely high humidity, but I have read on the internet that the Mar Menor area doesn't get such high humidity levels, and is quite healthy for people with asthma/chest complaints.  Anyody have any experience of this?  Also, when renting property in Cyprus the rents are usually negotiable - is that the case in Spain as well>
