Warning for anybody that is thinking of using Dickmanns Car Hire. We hired a car in November for a week. We picked it up from Murcia and returned to Alicante. On return the lady checked the car and signed the agreement all OK. On checking my emails at home I had received an email from Dickmanns to say that a dog had chewed the mannitol under the drivers seat and that they had to do a special clean to remove all the dog hair. They charged €120 for doing this. I told them that I did not have ...a dog at home nor did we keep one in Spain. They would not listen. I then noticed my credit card bill and they had deducted £712. I argued with them for over a month and after threatening them with legal action they returned the funds. Although the car hire was cheap this is a way they rip you off for money. Please be very careful. I will never use them again and will always use Mar Menor Car Hire.

I just wanted to confirm that the banks who own apartments have always paid the community charges, it is PW who only pay the community charges as and when they sell a property.

Time Out in San Javier will have the game on, or if you go to Plaza 525, better know as Mercadonna Square there are loads of restaurants and bars which will have the game on
