Hi

We are hoping to come over to Spain in the next couple of weeks to hand the keys back on a property we own after successfully negociating a deal with the bank.

Can anyone help with these questions please.

1) When handing the keys back can the bank insist on keeping our furnishings in the house.  We had a valuation on the house but I did not think this would have included furniture etc.

2) How do we go about ending our contract with electric and water companies.

3) Do we need to go to the town council to inform them we are no longer the owners when the keys have been handed over.

4) Are there any other things we need to do?

I see the invoices online as I live in the UK and do not get the actual invoices.

I tried to goodle/use babblefish to translate but it odesnt give any translation so I presume it is a shortened word.

As most of you are aware, its impossible to get through to speak with someone from Endesa most of the time as unfortuately we do not speak Spanish.

Could someone tell me what FRACT. stands for on our electric bill please.

Along the top it goes:

Date:   Number:   Amount:  Satus:  Fract.

Under the FRACT it  normally says NO but only occasionaly says Yes.

Could it be something to do with wheter endesa has read the metre or if it is an estimate bill. (just guessing really)

we have found out today that the bank have paid the insurance and given us "an overdraft" which we did not ask for and do not want.

I am astounded that the bank can do this without our knowledge and consent as this puts us in debt to them and interset is then added.

 

I am sending the new policy by email and hope that the bank will accept this and refund the money so that we are not in debt.

thanks for all your advice as we were not aware of the legal implications of giving 2 months notice of cancelation.
