Hi all. Just to let you know that we hosted a meeting last week for any residents that were on site and wanted to get together. The discussion was obviously regarding the up and coming community meeting. The main "gripe" is the high community charges, and what we can do to reduce them, if not for this year then certainly for next years charges.

Points we feel we can raise are:

• Cleaning fees - why so high
• Security fees the same, and we are seriously considering suggesting dispensing with the night security guard as he appears to be absent fifty percent of the time, anyway. To my mind, partial security is no security.
• Lifeguard fee - speaks for itself.
• General questioning / clarification of all other fees.
• "Manual" electric main gate key (in case of failure) available to all. We got "trapped" in side the urb for over half an hour when the electric gate failed to work - not advisable if an ambulance needs to enter or exit.

We do not know if the "President" will be elected at the meeting. If a candidate is required, I (Steve) am willing to put myself forward (champion of the people and all that !!). I don't know waht others peoples thoughts are of all the prior points are - please let us know, good or bad, but we quick, the meeting is on Friday!

We most definetly agree that we should be able to see where our money is going. It would also seem that the developer is trying to have a hold over us for as long as possible. I think that once we have all spoken to our lawyers we need to all try and discuss our concerns with the developers.

We have just been informed by our solicitors that our community fees for just this year are abot 2200 euros!! But this will be lower next year when our community is set up. Another thing is if you have completed then your electricity contract needs to set up by the 20th September.

In response to Patrick's questions:

we have not been informed of any problems with the electricity supply by our lawyers, who are working to draw up the contract.

We have been using the builders electricity supply since we have lived on site (around six weeks now) and had absolutely no problems (except for a power cut which lasted all of 5 minutes)!

Hi all,

Katie and I have now completed, and been living on-site for nearly 3 weeks and are loving it!  No habitation license yet, but some facilities are in place (including swimming pool!), and we hear the license is imminent (again)! Conecta4 (phone people) have not yet bothered to connect us despite many conversations, and english telly is not available yet, though apparently the dish is connected. They are just not bothering to come until more people are in - obviously not worth there while, at the moment!

Will be glad to help out with any questions - be patient if I don't get back straightaway as no internet from the apartment yet.

12th June, 2007: amendments to above. Our telephone was connected yesterday and is working well. Sigrid has informed us that the first habitation license is granted and will be in place from Wednesday 13th June, and asked us to inform our lawyer's!
