Colin & Maria would like to take this oppurtunity to wish all EOS members best wishes for 2008, and that you all look forward to many happy times at El Rincon. Who would have thought going back to 2004/5, that we would be able to say we have a dream property in Spain!!! Yes there have been ups & downs, but hopefully they can be forgotten

It`s great to be able to read the messages on this website, to see how people from totally different backgrounds, can be so friendly and sociable to eachother. Keep it up . And can we say a big thankyou to Justin (website), Maria,(lawyer), and especially Fibby, what a lovely woman she has been from the 1st time we came onto this website, and the updates on building progress etc. Plus the donations made from her Guide book.

We are going out to our apartment 2nd-8th Feb, and if any any members will be out there at the same time, then if poss how about meeting up for a drink in the local complex one night??

Hi All,

       Wow it`s getting to that stage when we finally get our keys!!!! We are out between 12th & 19th and pick the keys up from our lawyer, then can start to move the furniture into the dream apartment we seem to have waited for forever, with all the delays. Now that we are at this position, can anybody tell me what the situation is with Building Insurance, does this get covered by the Community fees, or do we have take out personal cover? Also we want to have Contents Insurance of approx 12,000Euros, any good companies out there?

      If there is anything that we can do for any of the members of EOS while we are there this week,  send us a message before Wed morning, and we will help as much as poss.

Hi All,

        WOW So many people let down by this delay in obtaining the Habitation licence, we like many others went out in February 2007, after confirming with Gomendio and our lawyer that we wre to sign and collect our keys!!!! HAHAHAHA Stop laughing.   Yes you guessed it, what a waste of time and money. We agreed to purchase this apartment in Oct 2004, and been out there regularly to see the progress, and were very impressed with the building etc. But after being told that it was due to be completed approx. Nov. 2006, lo and behold, here we are in March 2007 still waiting. We have sent many e-mails to both the agent and our lawyer but we seem to be the ones doing all the chasing up, and trying to get information on the possibility of completion.

          We are going out again from 15th to 20th March, and have a meeting with lawyer, so will inform you all of any news. We just hope to get some great news because we have started to buy furniture for the apartment.  On our last visit we bought 2 single beds and table & chairs, thinking they would be in our apartment, but thankfully we have met, over time, some lovely friends who live on the La Calma complex, and are storing these for us.

       Like many others, we have family & friends booked for their holidays at the end of April & early May, so we are getting very angry, frustrated and worried by this delay on completion.

       I`m Colin and come from Co. Durham, and my girlfriend is Maria, who lives in Chessington, Surrey, if anyone wants to contact us then send a private message and then we can pass on e-mail addresses.

Hi All,

        We have just arrived home after 6 days in Playa Flamenca area, and also to check up on my girlfriend`s` property, a 2bed 2bath top floor apartment on El Rincon. Maria will be given the keys on Feb 2nd 2007, so phase 1 must be completed by then, although phase 2 still has a long way to go. We managed to sneek into the development to have a look around , and it looks very good  although we didn`t have much time to scrutinise the workmanship. All the car parking spaces were clear of any rubbish, the lift was working, the exterior lighting was working too, the pool area was wonderful, and given time, the grass and flowers will finish it off.

       We asked a young labourer if we could look inside a finished apartment, and much to our surprise said it was no problem!! The room was in a finished condition but still required  a good clean throughout, I noticed that the grouting in the living room/kitchen was stained in areas. The quality inside is much better than the showroom, but noticed that both bathrooms were very dark, due to being an inside apartment.

       I have some photos of the exterior which I will try to put onto this site asap. We will answer any questions if possible.
