We too have an apartment in PortoFino and can very highly recommend Almerimar Property Management.
They have taken over Charmaine's business at Design by Jarvis. Charmaine did an excellent job and we were a little aprehensive when we heard that someone else was taking over.
Carol and her husband Stuart are now running the property managing side of the business and I can only say that they are second to none. They are so obliging, caring and very professional with everything that they do.
They go out of their way to not only please you but have your guests interest at heart too.
We have had a busy first year with our rentals and have had absolutely everything taken care of and have not had to worry that our guests are in safe hands should any problems arise.
We had a month booking going into our apartment this week and APR discovered that we had major problems with the electrcity in our apartment tripping all the time.
APR have relentlessly harassed Proindal into getting the electricty checked and for those who have experienced trying to get workmen back when problems arise will know what a nightmare this can be.
It's ended up being an absolute disaster as the apartment is now uninhabitable as there's no electricity and the apartment is'nt safe as water has entered into the elecrical box via the roof terrace.
Our guests were met by APR and they had arranged for them to go into another apartment that evening, they then showed them numerous apartments and helped them to move into their chosen one as well.
Carol & Stuart from APR have constantly telephoned us, liased with Proindal and have also kept a check that the workmen are rectifying the problems to the correct standard.
We honestly do not know what we would have done without their fantastic support, genuine caring and all time that they have given to not just us but our guests as well.
It has materialised that the recent heavy rains have caused problems in numerous penthouse apartments in PortoFino, as the membrane under the top terrace is failing and allowing water to enter the cavities causing damp walls and water entering the electrical sockets.
Our apartment is now unrentable as we have had to have the tiles near the top terrace door removed and a new membrane fitted.
We are now awaiting the work to be completed and are hoping that it isn't going to drag on as we have other renters due.
We are rest assured that APR will do their otmost on our behalf.
They also do airport pick ups for any guests that do not want to hire a car.
We honestly dont think you could get a better service than the one they offer!!!!
