In the latest investment plan, there is provision for a pool to be constructed for the Spanish Village.

It was rumoured to be the first piece of the puzzle but as yet has not been started. The remainder of the investment was to allow the hotel to be let to a Hotel Chain. There has been som erecent activity at the hotel with old furniture being removed in the past couple of weeks.

I have been informed recently by Simon Parks at HomeKare Agents (On HDA Resort) that it is now possible to lease the units in the Spanish Village. I am unsure at to what stage this is at at this time but I understand there have been a couple that are in the process of being let.

The 'New' Murcia Regional Airport also seems to be progressing with the bidding race effectively being ended with AENA being the sole remaining bidder. This has been a long saga and I suspect will rumble on but I see this as progress in general.

The long and the short of it is in my opinion HDA is a resort on the up with some potentially great things to come. It has always been a resort that has been cared for thoughout the years despite the economic situation, others have not been so lucky!!!!

I find the Golf Club Page, Clubhouse Page etc. but still no Owners page.

Is it possible for someone to post a direct link to the page?

Thank you in advance.

I can't seem to locate this anywhere despite searching several times. Would someone be able to send me alink to the specific page?

Many Thanks

I haven't seen inside one of these aprtments but we do own a property on HDA.

On the face of it they do appear to be great value. I am unsure of the communal fees though which could potentially be quite a lump as it is billed as a 'resort within a resort'. The upkeep of the exclusive facilites will therefore, likely be the responsibility of owners within 'The Oasis' community. It would be worth clarifying these fees in comparison to fees across the rest of the resort as if you aren't looking to use these facilities specifically then it my be worth looking elsewhere on the resort, spending a bit more upfront but then not committing yourself to the ongoing annual fees if indeed they are higher.

As far as HDA goes, we bought here last year and have managed to get out a few times. Each time we have been out it is busier and there are more properties sold than the last time. It is by no means busy, which at the moment suits us down to the ground. It offered us what we were looking for at a price that we felt was fantastic value when compared to other resorts of a similar quality nearby. We bought knowing what facilities were currently on site in the knowledge that these could improve or diminish, that is the risk that you take with this sort of purchase. It may be that the hotel opens, the spanish village fills up with shops etc. and eventually the airport starts flights. If this is the case then great, if not then so be it.

If you are considering buying then buy with the mindset that if it is right for you and it is in budget and you are happy with the resort as it is then go for it, like us. Otherwise you may be dissappointed if you are buying in the hope that things will change quickly. It is Spain and everything happens a lot slower (if at all).

The golf, sports facilities and the upkeep of the resort are excellent.

Yes, the resort was hit by the financial crisis but it has ridden it out and is in great shape to go from strength to strength. It has certainly fared considerably better than other resorts in the region without naming any specifically for fear of upsetting anyone who may own on those resorts.

A fair representation of HDA in my opinion.
