My view: probably not yet, though after another winter, probably. Mine could certainly do with some freshening up, but it will last a while.
The real point of the post though, was to raise a number of questions that I certainly hadn't thought through:
- if it's not going to be every 3 years, like the rules say, then when?
- how will we be confident it will ever get done? Is there a way of agreeing when among ourselves?
- where is the money to do it (have we been collecting a reserve fund)
- how much notice will we get (i might like to use the scaffolding when it's up to replace the boiler. In any case, I guess I should not be taking short term lettings while the painters are in
- will the community need to find a painter (run a competition)?
Anyone know how this stuff gets organised?
