Hi i was reading about the ley 57 law , i purchased a property in 2006 of plan when the property was complete two years later the credit crunch had hit, we paid 149,000 euro deposit with 70% mortgage from barclays bank, the bank would only offer us a 50% mortgage so by law we were able to have our deposit returned from the developer, they said they had no money, we took them to court 2 yaers later after winning in court and 10,000 euro later our lawyer told us there was only enough money to pay the bank and spanish taxes , so we lost everything, so if the developer goes bust who gives us our money back

Hi i am looking for someone to maintain my pool and cut the grass ect aprox 2 hours per week,we live 2 k from sabbinilas,NOT FAR FROM LA CHOZA RESTAURANT, any help would be appreciated

We put down 30% deposit with a garanteed mortgage of 70%the property was completed on time,we then went over to complete,     , then the credit crunch, Barclays sa then said we will only offer 60%, we came back to the uk raised more money, flew back to spain a month later, Barclays then said they could only lend 50% due to the financial climate, we had a meeting with our lawyer and developer as the contract said we were entiteled to half our money back and go to court and fight for the rest,the developer sat there and said he has no money,so there we have it.

We put down 146,000 euros deposit on appt in la herencia de casares, spent 9,000 euros on lawyers fees, been to court in Madrid at even more exepnse,Developer now in liquidation,What can us brits do that spain takes responsability.
