We are buying in Block 3.  We've also been told by our solicitor that the licence of first occupancy is in place but she is waiting to receive a copy of it to check it with the town hall.  She's also told us that Promaga's technical department is working on all the snag lists and that we should start to prepare the completion monies.

However we are still failing to get any information from Promaga despite numerous e-mails to them.  Everyone seems to be getting differering information regarding a completion date which is very frustrating to say the least!

We are buying in Block 3 and our snagging was carried out on 9 January. We are going out to Spain tomorrow and  are visiting the site. The main thing outstanding in our apartment is the fitting of the kitchen units etc.  We have been told that the outside areas should be completed in about one month.  If you can't get hold of Regina try Christian.lieman@promoga.com - he is also on site and we have found him very helpful.  We should have a further update after we have visited the site.

We've been through a similar loop to some extent and with our apartment nearing completion finally settled on taking over the developers mortgage which turned out to be the cheaper option although we will still need to find some funds from the Uk to cover the shortfall. The Spanish Bank were very helpful and although there is a lot more paperwork/evidence involved than we are used to in the UK, the process was really quite trouble free.

We too considered selling on prior to completion but ended up not doing so for two reasons. The state of the market isn't good and with the amount of property available this just isn't a good time and not being desparate sell it seems sensible to hang on for better times. Interesting though the other reason relates to Andalucian Dream Homes who we purchased through and therefore approached regarding the potential resale - despite having the apartment on their books for over 6 months, they did absolutely nothing...............they can't be blamedfor the general market conditions but the earlier comments in this message thread suggest that this is a common issue with them !

We visited the site the week before Christmas, some of the outside rendering has been started and we were told that some of the marble floors had been laid and some of the electrics and plumbing were also being installed.  We were also told that completion is on schedule for Dec 07.
