As Darren said, we have been paying a percentage from our community fees towards the painting of our properties from day one, which is also seven years in our case and while it certainly needs repainting I cannot see why we should pay anything extra for it, even if was only 10e. We are just letting everyone off the hook, where will it all end??? We were told we had to do the pergolas last time. If they want to reduce my fees by 25e approx a quarter I will certainly do my own maintennance every year........600e absolute robbery

while i agree the resort is badly in need of painting I do not believe it is the responsibility of the owners, where there is a percentage of the community fees allocated for same. possibly this is why so many properties are not painted as people are waiting for the administrators to commence this. the ones that are done look fab but each garden now looks like a patchwork quilt. as far as the overall conduct of people, i recently witnessed on our garden [a large group of people who had a number of rented appartments all in the garden] the children, whom were teenagers jumping up on and over the pool fence and inevetibly some latts were broke and then until repaired were climbing through as were the adults, and then when repaired proceeded to force latts out again so they did not have to walk the long distance to the gate. on another occasion one of the teens was swinging out of one of the palm trees which was not very mature trying to break off the branch when we challenged the large group they moved on but on our return and on checking the next morning, three of the branches were broke off and on the ground and was left vertually bare.... unbelievable..... I can understand why people let out their appartments, but this is what happens when people/renters who have not got a vested interest in the resort, and maybe why the place is not getting a lick of paint as all our monies are going into repairing said damage.I undestand children need to have fun and games as I have children myself but also need to respect people and property

I'm certainly not blaming the presidents in any way as I know they do a lot of work on our behalf especially if like me you are not a full time resident........yet. Security on the other hand is a different matter, a bit heavy handed when there is no need .....eg. flashing torches to curb noise levels when there is none, yes people enjoying themselves on holiday in August...wow! and silly issues around the pools plus the other issues people spoke of. You know what happens when you put a uniform on people.

Regarding the issue of cameras and the obligation or otherwise of the community to supply same, has anyone noticed the cameras on the high poles around the security fence going round the resort? and these are the visible ones. I'm sure they are recording activity on the resort and is either being managed by security or millenium. It may be they need to be approached by the presidents to get answers. I also don't nesseccery agree with the idea that it is owner's or renter's carrying out this activity. Yes we live in very hard times and people will go to any lengths to make a buck, but what can you do with 45 recagnisable bikes and numerous washing machines etc. unless you are taking them off site to sell which sugests to me the perpetrators are local or have local knowledge and contacts.
