We live in Carboneras where there only a handful of Brit's & most Brit's visiting come from other places like Mojacar on a market day..
There is an health centre...places to eat but remains mostly Spanish here...not Brit pubs & fish & chips lol..
It has it's own history connected to Lawrence of Arabia & John Lennon non the less...

We came here to avoid a lot of the Brit's to be honest as we wanted a place that was Spanish & not overrun with outside influences... 

Most of the vid I think is Carboneras...the beach & the port is for sure...other bits are around Almeria...Carboneras is 45 mins away from Almeria itself...

Hi well I have looked into all this in case I want to travel with my dogs & although many may not bother looking at the dogs paperwork I can assure you if they do you might need to be up on everything...I live in Spain & I have been asked to go to the local police station & show all the docs of my dogs & they are all down on record here..not that they or I have done anything wrong it's just that they were checking up on dogs & who wasn't keeping up the shots/chips & so on.....I am very actively involved with dogs which they all know around here being that I clip half the dogs in the village & walk my dogs around but no matter how well known I am I was still asked & it's not like I have any tendances of being a irresponsable dog owner..but I was still asked

HOWEVER!!!!...entering the UK I've been told that all dogs need to have been treated for ticks at the vets a few days before travelling...there is a page in the passport to show they have been treated for ticks..100 & odd hours or something they have had to have been treated...which stands to reason seeming ticks carry diseases & pretty nasty ones at that..

They should leave the allowance alone & although many may think Spain is a hot country that really doesn't matter...we live in Carboneras Almeria & it can be chilly here also but the biggest factor is yes it does get hot BUT these apartments are made for hot weather but in winter they are like iceboxes & are very cold & you really DO need heating on or sit under a blanket when indoors with is not very practical by no means...So I say it should stay in place & why should other pensioners be paid more than other or be entitled to get more...we have all put in to get our pensions & thus we should be all entitled to the same entitlements ....
