We purchased 11-22 in 2008 but had to pull out due to property being uninhabitable, we lost a huge amount of money and like some of you could not afford to chase a wasted cause. 8 years on we are now a total of €200,000 out of pocket €20,000 down to Atlas and Massa combined. I thought we were alone but reading the blogs I realise there are others in the same boat. We can really empathise with you all, our story is far more complex than our statement appears here, but I do agree that companies involved and some individuals should be brought to book, if not in Spain( some hope) maybe in the European courts so as not to let this happen again. I am reading with interest your blogs concerning this complex. We purchased 11-22 some years ago as key ready, 10 months later the house was still not ready and instead of a basement it now had an inside pool. After a lot of negotiations we reluctantly had to pull out. Our total losses amounted to €200,000, 20,000 of which was owed to us from Massa. At one time they offered to pay us in full if we stopped our campaign of contacting as many potential Atlas customers as possible. (Atlas were the agents we used from the uk (chocolate fire guard comes to Mind )). But true to form they reneged on the deal, and we were left floundering rapidly running out of money. We visited the property 2 years after and nothing had changed, still not ready, empty properties everywhere. If anyone wants details of our experience let me know at izzyinn@tiscali.co.uk

Hi I remember the rain. We were to buy 11-22 but when the basement became our indoor pool we pulled out. In a fight with Atlas and the builder we are now in excess of €200,000 out of pocket. Love Spain but sierra golf was a huge mistake. We visited 2 years later and it was still a ghost town. I hope for those who stayed there luck has been better than ours

The property I was buying was 11-22, Go and have a look if your there. You will see the so called repairs around the basement window (which is below grade level even without tiles) for preventing the unschedualed refilling of the basement swimming pool. Also observe the undermining around the property,it was back filled with earth once, as a repair. We visited one time just after heavy rain and the water had gushed under the property so fast it had dragged two 2 litre drink bottles down the fissure. Observe also the front steps you will see where the gap (now filled with mastic) that appeared as the steps parted from the house. Please be patient and a full account of my (key ready, last April 07) will be made public on Eye on Spain

I have to update my statement re Atlas/Masa over this weekend and will be posting it early next week. Its rather long for which I will apologise in advance but If you are contemplating buying a new build in Spain just read it and make up your own minds, no lies or embelishments just the truth.
