OK -thanks.

We were told categorically ( during a prolonged and slightly heated visit to customer services) in April 2009 , that planning was in place for ALL the phases onTerrazas.

Islands were not our first choice, neither was Terrazas- but that is another( very long) story of cancelled resort followed by cancelled phases etc etc.

Have asked Englishgeoff for clarification.

Where/ who has the information re Islands being cancelled???

We were out in April and were told by Customer Service that all was going ahead.

If this info is accurate I am heading for the gas oven!! No bank guarantee ( still!!), useless solicitor, and they have our money since  Jan 2006.

 

Please can someone confirm?

We were buying on old phase 2 - but heard rumblings about cancellation early in 2008 via the forum.Polaris did not contact us at all about it, and no specifics about certain appartments were given- just a blanket delay on all phase 2.

After a few emails to Polaris all they would say that it would be " indefinitely delayed".We were offered a transfer ,or wait and see- and they absolutely refused to give us any idea what the timescale of delay was likely to be.

We strongly suspected then, that if the "cancelled" word was mentioned by them they would then have to  give us a refund- which they obviously didnt want to do.

We went out to Spain again-at their expense- and chose an alternative on phase 4 ,the smaller island.

We are still waiting.........................................but at least phase 2 is now underway!

If you are on the original phase 2 ( north east side of resort) we found out via the forum during spring 2008 that it is on indefinite hold.Polaris made no attempt to contact us about it- we did all the legwork ourselves, and I am not surprised that there may still be buyers around who are totally unaware of the situation.

We were not given an option to cancel - simply transer phase/ resort or wait indefinitely.Chose to transfer to Islands phase 4.

The new phase 2 is the north west side of the resort - and is indeed underway - see photos I uploaded to this site end April 2009.
