Hi all

Just returned from a couple of days at the apartment.  When we arrived there was no power at all.  It took a while(it was dark) to sort out as the electricity box had been vandelised.  I have managed to sort it out but noticed that the buzzers and outside light had also been vandalised.  The buzzers will need replacing for some of  the apartments.  I am guessing that it has all been done by kids and quite recently as the freezer had defrosted but there will still traces of ice there(and a nice puddle on the floor too).  It looks like they had also been starting fires in the doorway.  I have cleaned as best as possible but it got me thinking that we would benefit from having a list of contacts of electricians, builders etc.  I know we have not yet become a community but it may be better to begin to get something together. and either share it on here or in the block.  I am sure this is most likely an isolated incident and reckon that if people are in the apartments it wont happen.

Has anyone contacted the builder regarding the mess outside too?  It had been thrown all over the road and the drain for one apartment was snapped off the wall.  I am going to contact him to see if he can clean it a little and will let you know if I have any luck.

Sorry to sound like the voice of doom and gloom.  I dont want to panic anyone and think the only reason this has happened is becasue there is no one there.

Just back myself but there was no one else in the building at all.  Thought it was worth mentioning re the electricity that there is a switch on the main box which is outside of the apartments to the right of the front door and outside the apartment with its own entrance.  The electricity has flicked off from this point previously and can be reset.  I am not sure if that was what happened when you were there but it is worth having a look in case that is all it is. 

I could see in the garage that there had been water in there but thought it was down to rain.  The car belongs to 3M.

For those of you spending Christmas there (Mandy), have a great time and I will hopefully catch some of you in Spain in the new year.

Pleased you had a good time.  I guess other than put a washer in your bathroom you are stuck unless you can do something with that large hall!  As for launderettes.  There are at least three in Almoradi.  This is a rather long link and i hope it works. 

I will look for the address of the one i think is nearer the apartment over the weekend and let you know if I find it.

My mate is out there from 31/10 and I will be there 3-5 Nov.  There are loads of tools in the apartment should you need anything, such as drills, screwdrivers etc.  Just shout up if you need anything.  He is aware you are out there so please shout up if there is anything you need.  Apt. 2M

When do you get there?  I seem to think you are there in November.  I am only there a day or so.  I wont have time to drive you about but I am sure I will be able to change your lock if needed.  It is easy enough to get a new one at the ferretaria.
