Hello, I'm new to this website. May I pick some brains please. I'm having trouble eliciting any kind of response from the developers for a damaged kitchen caused by water leaking in ( partly from the aircon ducts, partly from? ). MacAnthony have failed to get any response and suggest a legal approach. Has anybody else experienced similar problems from developers? If so how did they tackle it , and have they been successful?
It seems from this website this is not a well regarded site. Does it need a combined approach to make progress?

I'm told cost is 3000 euros plus vat + 500 court fee, and time taken will be 4-5 mths. Seems lawyers are positive on result. It is tough call, as this site is starting to prove potentially good value as an investment. Difficulty is assessing impact of current hype of corruption and greed in Costa del Sol on property prices.

Hi All,
Am grateful for all of your comments. I'm still considering whether to ask the lawyer if it is possible to pull out. My problem is I already have an apartment on Casares, and am nervous re all these recent stories on potential property price "crashes" in southern Spain.
I am impressed by this helpful and active website though. Think I'm learning more from this than any amount of telecalls to MRI. I'd begun to think there was a conspiracy involving developers, legal, realty, and the "Town Hall" i.e. all involved in the process, to be economical with the facts surrounding the market, in order to protect their livelihoods. Cynical old me!!!

Many thanks for your speedy responses. It seems you are content to sit it out, assuming completion is close. My brief understanding from MRI ( unofficially ) & lawyer is that there are several who wish to have their deposit refunded. Am I missing something is my concern.......do they have good reason. Having not seen the site since I bought off plan 3 yrs ago, I have no view on how it has matured since those glossy pictures, and will it be a good investment medium term.

Hi Folks, I'm new to this message board. Spoke with MRI on Friday, and was told that some people are trying to recover their deposits, but I couldn't be told any more over the phone! Is this true, and if so what are the chances? If a group band together does that make it easier?
