Evening All

We attended the last very lively meeting.  It was well attended by alot of English owners and also the Spanish.  Carol the President is on 1 weeks holiday and will be available again on 2nd August.  She will have a copy of the minutes at that time and if you contact her directly she will let you have a copy.

I would say that the main things that came out of the meeting was that the budget was approved, the Spanish owners have asked the English owners to remove their TV dishes from the communal masts ASAP as they think there is a problem with them and the signal for Spanish TV but one of the English owners disputed this claim, anyway we still have to remove our dishes.

The pool is working and is clean, the pool rules have now been posted up at the side of the pool.  The security gates are on and the intercoms are working well.  Apart from the communal stairwells being very dirty it was all very positive out there.

For your info, we tried the Wok Buffet up at Guadamar and would not recommend it to anyone. 

The weather was glorious and we cant wait to get back out there.  

Big THANK YOU to Carol, Melvin and Juan who have the thankless task of getting everything sorted out for us out there, we all really do appreciate what you are doing for us.

Firstly, thank you Sue for keeping us all up-dated and can you pass on our thanks also to Carol who is doing a sterling job on our behalf.  Finally, things appear to be getting resolved and alot quicker than we expected!

Can you advise why an Extraordinary AGM has been called for 2nd May and what will be on the Agenda?

Big THANK YOU to Carol for standing as our President, albeit that she was rail roaded into it.  I am sure we will all give Carol our support and any assistance required.

Myself and Gordon attended the meeting on Wednesday which was quite lively and I hope that the meeting on Monday is a bit more structured and the Spanish will allow this to all move forward quickly.

I also agree with John's comments regarding us ALL pulling together as a community to get Vegamar up and running as we all expect it to be. 

It is a shame that this situation has arisen, but hopefully it can be resovled without too many problems..........

HOLD FIRE ON SETTING UP A COMMITTEE

We need to look into the legal implications of setting up a committee as we could well be taking on the responsibility of paying for the completion of Escalera 5, the road and all sorts of outstanding issues on site.  All this needs to be clarified before we jump in.

I have just spoken to Carol who lives in Vegamar and she has confirmed that the electric is off and so is the water and apparently the administrator from Idearco is due on site at 10am in the morning.

Ironically, this morning Idearco had builders on site this morning doing snagging lists!

There is now a problem with the swimming pool which could pose as a health hazard and some of the residents are trying to sort with the Town Hall.

We are flying out tomorrow morning from Gatwick and hope to be able to return with good news, but somehow I doubt it!

Evening All

Sad to read the recent posts and hope to read something a bit more positive in the not to distant future.

I do believe that we can all do our bit with regards to the clean up when we are out there, but cant expect people who live there on a permanent basis to clean for us all..

We are going out again on 28th March for a few days and hope to hook up with any of you who are out there at the same time.
