Hi Roger,

Try Smart currency, will not charge over a certain amount, but just say your not prepaired to pay the charges and should get a good deal ! we have used them the last few times and are very good, have also used most of the others including HFIX and Currency Solutions, Good Luck, we will be using Smart agian shortly as we are out in a few  weeks.

Ilona and Dave have taken over at Mi Cortijo from (Garry) and we can recomend you give them a try, the food is excellent and they are great hosts, Dinner Dances to be arranged each month or when convenient, decor improoved and nice ambience well worth checking out, we are back end of June and will be calling in for sure, give it a try !

Park at the harbor and head for the square in the centre, keep to your left just past the square on your right you will see CAJAMURCIA Bank -  Barclays Bank is 3 or 4 door past CAJAMURCIA .

 Another option is for you to contact Barclays here in the UK they will give you all the information you require and arrange for your account to be opened when you arrive

First of all we would like to thank Elaine & Steve for all the running around they did for us before we arrived, they spend days looking around for the best deal in white goods purchasing them for us and arranging the installation

We have just arrived back after spending 17 days in our house after waiting 4 years – It was definitely worth the wait.  We are on phase 4 (south facing) the last week we were there workman were in most of the houses it looked like they were doing the snagging.

 BANKS – Our solicitor opened a bank account for us with CAJAMURCIA just be aware when we transferred our money they tried to take a large amount of euros for charges from our account our Solicitor made them put the money back into our account.  Since opening our account 4 years ago they have charged us 9.00 euros a quarter just for leaving the money in our account. We did complain and the money was put back.  We have now closed our account and were charged for closing it.

On our visit in April we went to Barclays the staff are very helpful, speak English and nothing is too much trouble.  They do not charge for DD taking your money out,  putting your money in, and don’t charge should you need to transfer money back to the UK unlike CAJAMURCISA.
