I've returned from Spain recently after having spoken to a number of estate agents ( there are a few left ) about this developement. They told me that the land owners would need massive funding from the banks to begin this developement. This would be refused because = 1   With over 500,000 properties already empty in Southern Spain they believe they could not be sold.    2  the banks don't have money to lend and 3  Spains recession is much worse than ours. The consensus was that this developement  is a non event ,at least for the next 5 years.   J.P.

The guys who are still talking up this developement are probably neither  dull or stupid. My guess is that these contributors are in bed with the agents and developers, think that we are stupid, and continue to try to persuade us to hand over even more money. If any further postings try to encourage you to continue with this developement it's likely to come from dubious sources.

After Months of trying I eventually had my deposit returned about 6 Months ago. It was no easy task. Those that I know who were refunded were all assisted in this by their agents and not the developers. The developers are a hopeless route to go down to get your money back.
My agents. Foxtons ,initially wanted nothing to do with it but later relented and were most helpfull.Blue Sun world.on the other hand, are a different lot all together, and you'll be lucky if they offer any help. My advice is keep hounding your agents.

To procede with this project makes no sense. The current exchange rates, the Spanish property crash ,and just pick ing up some of the Sunday newspapers makes you shudder with aprehension about it all.
This site was pitched at tranquility and life style,it's anything but. It's a masive 9,000 unit estate which will resemble an East European housing estate. If it goes ahead it will be building site for 5 years or more. Not much back to nature there. Best wishes to all those who want their money back. I expect a few fifth columists working for agents and developers to follow this by saying how it's a golden opportunity not to be missed. Don't believe them.  john

Yes, I must admit to having an half empty glass with this developement.I am in awe of the influence your agents have on you and how you hang onto their every word. They must be very persuasive or otherwise you must be very receptive to their sales pitch.

This rubbish that the developer is only to keen on returning deposits because they can sell them on at a higher price is absurd.Prices are declining and agents can't shift existing property on their books.I f any of you are determined on sticking with this developement hold on till prices drop and then buy ,you'll get a bargain then. That is if this developement ever gets off the ground.

As for myself ,I am still awaiting a refund of my deposit. All the information of those that have had refunds is not confirmed, merely agents say so.

To us sceptics can I suggest you be more open minded and less insulting.

Hi Danny, I guess it's because when those 1.300 or so people paid their 3,000 euros they bought into a property on  which rested their dreams, hopes and aspirations for a different lifestyle or retirment ,and they don't want to believe otherwise.Under these circumstances they will cling to the faintest of hopes that this project will succeed, often ignoring the obvious. One only has to look at the internet sites on this developement that have gone blank to realise the obvious. My dreams of having a property here have gone up in smoke but then I'm a realist and am aware of this.
