Mike B, I don't understand why you are disgusted. If nothing had happened to the Beach Club and it was still standing, it wouldn't be open anyway until the start of the peak season (around June/July time) so your tenants wouldn't be able to go there anyway. At the end of the day Roda are trying to run a business and it is not economically viable to open a building next to a beach which also has a pool in the off-peak season when there are no tourists who want to go there and it's too cold to swim. We're still only in April and the weather still hasn't been fantastic with the winds making it very cold so even if the beach club were open now, i very much doubt there'd be a lot of business. Surely it's better to wait a bit (even if it opens late) and have a fantastic facility instead of one that's old and not upto the Roda standard (look at the new clubhouse and the inside of the apartments) which if it were still there and opening in June you would probably still be disgusted with the oldness of it.
The Spanish way of life is 'manana', very relaxed (overstatement!) whereas the british is if you want something done tomorrow, it had to be done yesterday. I myself have been annoyed at times with the 'manana' culture but if you want to live in Spain it's something you have to deal with and get used to and accept that delays are very more than likely.
