If you are talking about the apartment towards the right hand end of block 8 as you're facing the building,  I 'm fairly sure that they were about last week as the towels were over the balcony.  We're up the other end so had no direct contact.

Dan

Just happen to be on line at present so have picked up your posting.

Firstly, we have paid our management fees to Condominium Services.  Ladies were cleaning the communal areas at least every other day and we saw the gardeners and guy cleaning the pool regularly.

The rubbish and rubble I'm talking about is not  from the Manilva Beach development, but from the unfinished development behind phase 2 ,and there is an awful lot of it.   I'm sure it will be discussed when we have our first AGM in September.  Yes, you're probably right , and we shall have to cough up to get it cleared between us, or at least some of it.  Nigel said in his posting to owners who have not been to MB  'prepare to be shocked' and he's right.  I was just confirming his thoughts.   It will be a lovely development,  our apt included.  But it's still dusty down there wherever your apt. happens to be.

Hi Nigie

You are very lucky to have working air-con and a full compliment of furniture.

We visited MB a few times during the building of our apt on phase 2.   We stayed there for the 1st time at the end of May for the BankHoliday week-end and were on the whole pleased with what we found.  We are with gb property mnagement , who helped us sort out our kitchen, and we've since had a proper shower unit done in the smaller bathroom.  All this to help us enjoy our stays down there and to make it attractive to let out.

However, we are missing our wall-units and neither Villapac or OV seem in the least concerned.  Apparently Villapac says that OV owe them money and of course OV say it's not true.  Caught in the middle are people like us who have paid well over the odds for the furniture but it's still incomplete.  Each wall-unit costs over 400 euros, so we're 1200 euros down.  We've reached a stale mate situation, and I wonder if anyone out there has been able to rectify it?

As for the air-con  it looks as if we have it as we have the units on the walls, (I know that some apts have a  vent systmem.)  BUT it's not working.   Steve (air-con  fitter)  is going to have to get together with Raul's men to knock out walls in bedrooms and living room to track the drainage as probably pipes are crushed.  Why they didn't test it properly on fitting, we really can't understand.  Does this come under snagging?  The up-shot  is that we spent a very hot week down there last week(!) but hope it will be sorted before we go down in September.

The other problem with phase 2 is the mess at the back.  The builder went bust and has left piles of building  rubbish,
so it looks awful at the moment.  Until we can get that shifted, no-one wants to rent our place, and I can't say I blame them.
Phase 1 does indeed look good,  and I know that we'll get there in the end.  The actual pool area and gardens are pleasant,
and we do enjoy our stays.   We've had a walk up the track at the back and hope to explore further in the autumn.

On the whole it's looking better than many developments down there, but there is still a  long way to go.

Fran.

Hi Sue,

We got back from Manilva Beach  (Block 8) on Sunday and I can confirm that the garage doors are both working and in use.   We're all going to need more that 1 clicker so that we can leave 1 in the apt. for guests.  The gate at the top of the drive-way between the swimming pool and block 7 is still left open.  We  noted the knocked down post too, and agree with your sentiments.   I have Raul's e-mail if necessary.

For all who haven't picked up your garage door clicker, (zapper)  Kim has them in a bag at Casa Consierge in Estepona.  You're going to need 1 to access the garage now.

Regards,
Fran.

Hi again

To continue with what I reported yesterday about a proposed community meeting for phase 2, I have now spoken to Maria at Condominium Services this morning who says that no such meeting is taking place!    I do apologise, but was only going on what our agent had e-mailed to us.   When we meet up at the end of next week, I shall ask exactly what sort of meeting it was.

I also asked Maria about our account with them.  She told me that like John from phase 3 , who has posted a message this week regarding standing orders, we find that we too owe over 1000 euros.  We had assumed that they were being paid, and I imagine that there must be a few more out there in the same boat.   I do find it odd that we haven't been chased for payment during this time.   I found her to be very helpful, and not in the least concerned about our debt!  I also asked her about the form that John mentioned, but she seemed to have the necessary details that she required from us.
