We are non-completers , reasons for which I have posted on here & which are genuine - we sincerely did want to complete but it became impossible & we walked away losing the deposit. I went straight to Corvera & my dialogue was with them only & we came to the  arrangement ourselves. I honestly believe there will not be a winning situation in a court case & the deposits will have to be lost - i hope I am wrong for those people who have more time than we do to pursue it. Currently, I think the only winners will be lawyers and my advice is to talk to Corvera direct but be prepared that this may be one argument you won't win . I wish everyone the very best - those having been successful living at Corvera and those. like ourselves , who have no choice but to step down. Sometimes I read some very nasty comments on here - please realise not every one not completing has the ability and have some empathy for that

I have just this week walked away officially with documentation to prove this from Corvera & loss of our £50,000 deposit. The upshot is that both my husband & I lost good jobs in the banking crash and as pensioners now cannot fund the mortgage . The stress of it all - my husband has Parkinson's disease - was unbearable. We have now extended our home mortgage til I am 70 and I have kept on working , fortunately in a job which respects older workers .My husband is well enough to continue at the moment. I never believed at the out set that it would end this way : I would still like to be one of those people who could complete and live there , facilities or not. i sincerely wish all the best to those enjoying the Spanish sun and empathise with others , like us , for whom the dream is over.

JUST RECIEVED THIS FROM MRI RECOMMENDED SOLICTOR PEDRO REFERRING TO SPECIFIC DATES - AFTER SATURDAY'S GET-TOGETHER HAS ANYONE ANY THOUGHTS AS TO WHY THIS HAS COME NOW?

 

 

We are contacting you regarding the completion of your property  at  Corvera Golf & Country Club Resort. After having spoken with the developers we have been told that completion for Phases  I and II at Corvera should start by mid April – May 2009 . They have informed us that they will be contacting you with some time in advance (a month or so) once they can give you specific date for the signature of the Deeds, which depending on the number of your apartment would take place in April , May , June and onwards 

 

 

In any case and in order to arrange everything for completion we would be grateful if you could please let us know at your earliest convenience the following information:

  

Finally please find below a breakdown  of all the figures according to the signed Private Purchase Contract (balance of the price, taxes, expenses, etc) involved in the purchase process in case you do not apply for a mortgage , please bear in mind that extras as air conditioning or others are not included in this estimation , so you will also have to transfer also  the excess.
