You might like to have a look at a little village that is about 10/15 mins drive from the sea, still very Spanish with all local amenities, doctors, health centre, farmacia, butchers, bakers etc. It is approx 30 mins from Alicante airport and about 40/45 mins from Murcia airport. It is called Formentera Del Segura, It is also near to main resorts such as Torrevieja (20 mins drive)and Guadamar (more refined) but far enough away for the tranquility that the village has to offer. Have a little time to research the area you might be pleasantly suprised, especially what you can get for your money. Hope this is of some help to you. Good luck with your search, but I think this may be the final place that you have to look once you have seen it?

At last, the building has finally started at the end of our road Calle Madrid. A sign has gone up and it is going to be Raquet sports- I presume they are earmarked for the tennis courts,

Hi Alan

 I hope Eileen and yourself are well.Thanks for all your hard work, but there is a problem. We were told that the meeting was on the 13th Feb. I had already booked my flights for the 14th Feb for the family. When I found out the meeting was on the 13th I changed them to the 13th so I could attend the meeting and I know that quite a few people are coming over for this meeting as it also the half term school holidays.

I was very dissapointed to have a text from Sharron to tell me of the change of dates. Why has there been a change? Can we not have it sometime between 13th- 20th Feb when more people will be able to attend and voice their opinions.Can you please see what you can do as I can't change my flights again as it is too costly.

Hi Chris & Liz

We had our aircon from  a guy called Paul Ross. The company are called A.C.E (air cool engineering).They were working at another property at BDM when we were out there in July and just went to have a look. We were very impressed with their work. They came two or three days later and fitted us two units.They are a three man team and have been in the business for 17 years, it took them about 3 hours from start to finish and they were very good. The cost was 1300 euros and when we were looking it was round about the average price.. tel 628607587 / 679083412. We did see other people who had  it done cheaper, but  one couple we know  had problems and it took a few days to get theirs fitted  so you do get what you pay for. Saying that though some other friends of ours got 3 units fitted and paid 1400 euros and they were very pleased with theirs.I could contact them for a number if it would be any help to you. Also if you get them fitted now you may get a good deal as they wont be busy, we were desperate for ours as it was about 35 degrees and we were melting.
