Hi all

 

We still haven't completed - very very frustrated.  We have given up on the spanish mortgage too much hassle and now hoped to complete by end Feb.  Has anyone been out there lately?  Any news of a committee etc?  It would be good to find out what has been going on?

Hi webbee

We haven't made any plans to go out yet as we really need to get the completion sorted.  We booked the recent flights back in June after we  had gone out there to do our "snagging" list thinking it would be ours by October and still it isn't so I think we will wait until we have completed and then book some flights. Did you have any problems completing it has been so annoying for us.  Hopefully it will all sort itself out soon.  The weather was beautiful when we were there on Monday 24 degrees and the thought of popping out for weekends whenever we want feels so nice!  How often do you plan to go out? Do you know of any other English owners? When we were there it looked like there were only about 10/12 occupied although lots of shutters were down so it is difficult to tell.

Thanks for the update we did meet the builder Monday but unfortunately we speak no spanish yet(!) and he spoke no english so trying to work out what had happened with the pool was fun!  Am pleased to hear that you have completed okay.  What did you do about furniture did you source it locally?  We know there is an IKEA in Malaga - do you have any recommendations?  We are so keen to start visiting on a regular basis this was our 3rd trip out and it hurt to pay someone else to stay there!  We did visit the local shop yesterday and my kids were pleased it was like an alladins cave with all the cakes and chocolate on offer!

Hi I am new to the site didn't realise it existed!  We have just returned from a few days there and noticed a few people have already moved in.  We have had trouble getting a mortgage due to the fact that the certificate of completion was incorrect as they had added some more apartments than the original 44.  Has anyone else completed using a spanish mortgage?  The certificates are now all in place and we hope that we will complete in the next few weeks.  We did notice that the pool down one end outside of the indoor pool was very dirty and dark green and that the gym had no equipment in it.  Can someone give me some first hand experience of actually staying/living there.  We are very keen to start out weekends out there but would love to hear your views.
