depends whether you are considering long of short term rentals .

We rent short term in Mojacar & average  a max. of 6-8 weeks /year but do not consider long term as it appears too fraught with potential problems . 

Upkeep with repairs & maintenance is always more expensive than you think as clients are seldom as careful with a rental property as they are with therir own .

We have just returned from a weekend there and no further building has taken place apart from a privately constructed villa at the 18th tee being worked on.There has,however, been considerable landscaping carried out between Los Patios and the coastal  road. Repairs are continuing slowly to the properties damaged by the flooding.The AGM was very vociferous with a lot of Spaniards raising many complaints so at least the developers are fully aware of the dissatisfaction among many owners.

My wife and myself visited Mojacar last week looking for an alternative property to our apartment in Los Altos where construction has stopped.Christian kindly travelled down with his wife to show us his apartment.Although it did not meet our specific requirements we can certainly recommend it fir it's sensational views  and tasteful furnishings.
