I also paid 900 euros for water and electicity. Aifos refused to sign if I didn't pay it. As my lawyer had travelled to Malaga to sign on my behalf, we decided not to give Aifos any excuse to snatch back my apt and deal with the legalities later. It seems that Aifos are just a bunch of blackmailing bandits. I have still not recovered my money but fully intend to ensure I get 900 Euros worth of water and electricity before we get the LFH.

Has anyone who attended the EGM got any news? Had hoped to attend but sadly my Mum died last Thursday.
I might fly out at the beginning of December. That news about the floods is worrying. Hope everything is OK.

Hi Rob & Jac,
Ask your lawyer to contact Aifos direct. We didn't deal with the agents after the deposit was paid and contract signed. I signed in July on Block 3. There doesn't appear to be any builders on site so I expect all the apartments are finished.
Good Luck

There are lots of people that have completed on the complex mostly Spanish and they are confident we have done the right thing completing. Most who have completed are joining together to denounce Aifos in the criminal court which apparently is easier than taking civil action. Aifos probably has more money than all of us put together so the more people who pursue a joint action the better chance we have. Unfortunately I had to come home before there could be a meeting but will be back in December. If you haven't already taken action yourself by then I will let you know on this site of any progress.

Hi Roy,
There was never a bank guarantee for this development so I think we have all been foolish. However the IVAL protects the purchaser in the event that the property is not built for whatever reason but luckily ours is built so it makes no difference now. I completed in July and have just spent 2 glorious weeks in my apartment. There are loads of apartments up for sale on there. I am optimistic that next summer this complex will be up and running properly with the LFO in place and we can all relax. Good Luck with your completion.
