just landed back from Spain an hour ago. Went to the site on Saturday. Looks great. The Esthers on Phase 1 are all finished and have been cleaned. Just a few gardens need tidying up. The heather fences are all in place. The street lamps are up and all the Esther's have their weather vanes!. The  standard of finish is very impressive. it was a beautiful day in the mountains and we had a peaceful picnic by the lake. The other larger properties behind the Esthers are being monocaped. The last of the block paving on the  3rd street between the Esthers was being completed. Work on the other phases too.

We visited the site on Saturday and were very pleased at all the building that had been done since our last visit early July. it really looked like things were progressing at a much faster rate on all the phases not just on our phase 1. The Esthers were looking very attractive in their different pastel colours and the area was looking particularly beautiful in the bright sunshine. Yes , we have been disappointed at the dragging on of completion but it is only superficial work that remains on the Esthers which ,if the builders pull their finger out can easily be finished in a few weeks. We felt a lot more positive after this recent visit. So much more had been done than between any of the other visits we had made, Its definitely all coming together alot better. Look forward to those festive drinks between Christmas and New Year.

We were told on Friday 5th by our agent that Cleyton GES are due to receive a report from Dragados at the end of next week. ie 12th and that our agent will know alot more by then. Hopefully this will happen. i was hoping that some of our fellow buyers that are out in Spain might know more what stage things are at? We are going out at the end of sept, beginning of Oct and were kind of hoping things might be on the move by then. It has been very quiet on the forum --- thought maybe the fiesta bulls had run rampage and trampled everyone!!. how was all the fiesta celebrations?

Hi just got back from Spain and a visit to the site last Saturday. Looked round the show house and our actual esther on phase 1 as the builders aren't there on Saturdays. There is certainly alot of work going on and we were very impressed with the standard of the esther show house. Maria told us that the builders will work through august as they have to finish phase 1 in september because that is when their 18month building contract runs till as they started on that phase properly in March07. I was feeling very pleased and positive with what I saw but felt a bit down at all the negative stuff on this thread. However I realise that there is alot of worry in the property market generally both here and abroad. I sometimes worry incase all the promised things ie tapas restaurant,tennis courts gym etc didn't get done but surely as we've only paid deposits and pay no more till completion of our villa it is in the builders best interest to complete properties on all the phases? it is a beautiful area and the houses are being finished to an excellent standard compared to alot we saw round the coast.
Changing the subject slightly does anyone from the Finca Valley team have any info on companies locally that would fit mosquito nets and ceiling fans (both of which we have found to be very valuable on our flat on the coast)?
