For those of you who didnt know on Wednesday early hours of the morning there was an earthquake measuring 3 on the scale.

My sister, her husband and 2 children where out there at the time and told me they heard a loud roar followed by the whole house shaking.  Scary stuff but it would appear no damage to people or property was sustained.

Your charges sound excessively high we pay on average 60 to 70 eu per quarter and we have a garden to water and often have people in our place at least one week out of every month (if not more)  I would definately question this and if you get no where refer it to your solicitor as ours sorted all this out for us when we first started.

Having been an owner now for nearly 3 years I am not sure what you need a post box for.  As you stated the utility companies do not send out bills.  All other issues are dealt with by our solicitor who we pay 99 euros a year to and she sorts it all out so you may be wasting your money.

We were out a couple of weeks ago and have heard that Baybrooks is opening on 1st December.  The pizza place was still being worked on and at the other end of the commercials (near the garden centre) work has started on another restaraunt which is supposed to be a 100 seater restaraunt called the witchery (but who knows?).  A secend bar is now open at the other end of the walkway to La Cascada but no-one was in it when we were there and if no one uses it there is a possibility it may not survive so people need to use all those places that open or the owners will not stay.  The supermarket is really handy and keeps very well stocked.  We are back out over xmas so I will give you an update when we get back.

We have just returned from La Finca (we are on RC3 so our property is fininshed) and I am pleased to report that a new coffee bar is opening at the end of this week.  The supermarket is now open and work is being carried out on a pizza place which is due to open in about 3 weeks time.  Sadly the restaraunt Bay Brooks is still not open as he is still being tied up in red tape but at long last it would appear things are beginning to open.  We also heard that there is a chinese opening soon as well.

The security huts look just about finished and we spotted the police several times whilst there stopping and moving people on.  When you go out there next if you look up behind the club house you will see a very large house being built, this is for the Mayor of Algorfa'a son (allegedly).  We also heard that the hotel had been sold to Real Madrid which if true is good news as they will want to drive completion of the building - which apparently is going to house a series of designer shops as well as spa etc.
