we let our property on long term lets of 11 months.  We have just been informed by our insurance broker that our current insurance company is no longer covering Spain and the alternative they offered is £500 per annum which seems high as its even higher than our UK home insurance.  Can anyone suggest a more reasonable insurance company which covers long term lets in furnished apartments in spain. We have completed on apt 325 and are visiting between 12th and 16th November. 

We have had a management agent snag the property and she says there are very few problems.

If anyone will be at Cala Nova between these dates perhaps we could meet up for a drink and discuss our future plans for the development -  rentals - satelite dish etc.

Interested to hear that you thought the development was a jem.  We visited in May and did not like it at all - far too tightly packed and very run down and I can't imagine its changed much since then.

What block are you in - we are purchasing in block 3, manzana 7 - the largest of the manzanas but I must admit that when we visited some of the other manzanas looked very good, pity that the developer seems to have got a bit greedy when it came to 7 and overdeveloped the site.

We are just about to complete on a propery near Marbella and have been approached by a company called La Cala Property Care to manage the property for us.  Has anyone had dealings with this company.  Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated.
