the signal will be definately there and you will get 100% sky chanels it is the only  sensible way to go if you want sky.

I have an appartment at Muirfield 3rd floor, I the way I understand if you were not to subcribe to the sky system you could not put your own system in as you would not get a signal, because of the direction needed to pick up the satellite. But yes you can be conected to the comunial sky  system if you subscribe. that is the way I think. hope this has made it clear

A  few news channels and euro sport is available with FTA, follow this lnk to view all channels on astra 19 you may notice that BBC prime is available but I'm not sure if it is free www.lyngsat.com/astra19.html
I can apparently get more with Technomate if I download certain software have a look at www.digitalworlz.com you can read all about satellite receivers and what you can get for nothing, I will be over in june and will be attempting to see what is available. Thanks for your input
