You'll fit easily into a normal taxi. Taxi is the best private means of transportation to move about in the city. And 95% of them are honest :) I also want to recommend almeria airport taxi transfers. Taxi transfer will take you from the airport and drop you off at your accommodation. Having said that, for moving about when in the city and not carrying luggage I strongly recommend public transportation (metro or bus), which is efficient, clean, safe, cheap and convenient.

My partner and I moved to Valencia, Spain about a year and a half ago, from Denver, Colorado. We are very happy living in Spain and believe it can be the happiest and healthiest country for people to live in. 
All our housing experiences here have been wonderful, each home being even more amazing and wonderfully affordable than the last. We now have settled into Denia, south of Valencia, right on the beach. Cost of living is very affordable and downright inexpensive; from food and drink at home to eating out, transportation and travel costs within Spain and Europe, and activities and cultural/community involvement - it's high quality of life at low costs.
