Be aware, if you have high/vaulted ceilings I would recommend ceiling fans.

From the old principle of "hot air rises" and "cold air falls"  during the summer your A/C units may perform efficiently however during the winter months when the units are producing warm air because of the above principle your units will be heating the space above your head instead of at floor level no mater if you have the internal fan/blower unit going at full speed. The ceiling fans would direct the "Hot" air to where it should be at floor level

I would also recomend that if you have an intruder alarm your A/C units may be able to be interlocked via a no-volt contact (normally available in most reputable alarm systems)  so that when you "arm" the intruder alarm when leaving the premises the Power is switched off to the A/C units.Perhaps the installer could advise you if this is possible

I believe there is a unit available on the market that can be bought and installed  in your premises for not a lot of money this was discussed in a previous thread and I can't remember when

I don't own a property but regularily long term rent  during the Spannish winter months therefore am liable to pay the utility bills and leaving the Heating/Cooling system on when not in the premises can cost a fortune

Hope these points help

Billy

Try Coys rentacar form torreviecca They deliver to St Javier and Alicante airports

I have used them 5 times now very clean cars, efficient delivery dervice and no queing at airport

Pay 15 to 30 euros for fuel (depending on model) and return empty

Park at airport and leave parking ticket on dash and post keys through partially open window on departure - hassel free

Hi

After going through the process in Cartagenna our NIE numbers were picked up for us by my wife's sister only to discover on returning home our surnames were spelt wrong. instead of Hood the name on the form is Hodd everything else on the form is ok

The application form was filled in with the correct spelling

How will this affect  the purchase of a car or long term rental agreement?

Advice please on what to do next

Best regards

Billy

Hi Friendly

I can recommend "Coys Rent-a-Car" based in Torrevieja and I have used them four times now with no problems

They will meet you at the airport where you fill in the forms and pay the fee over a relaxing coffee/beer/softdrink

No queing, no hastle and  the cars are always spotless. They operate a "pay a fee for half a tank (normally around 12 to 15 euros) although it may have increased slightly with the cost of fuel, and return empty" scheme. You book the type of car on line and  you recieve confirmation by e-mail On the e-mail is an operators name and you deal direct with him/her if you have any questions or problems.

When you return the car all you need to do is place the parking ticket on the dashboard and drop the keys through the window.

Kind regards

Billy
