Took well over a year to get our refund but please note the spanish tax office will pay your refund into a UK bank account  providing you give them the details on the form.  They also pay interest if the payment takes over six months.

We received our 3% CGT refund plus interest into our UK bank account on Saturday.  Only took 1 year and 4 months to get it.  Our solicitor who handled our sale did write to chase them up.  We had more or less given up ever getting our money back so don't give up.

We sold our house in Sevilla province in October 2016 and there is still no sign of us getting our 3% Capital Gains Tax back even though all our paperwork was in order and tax paid up to date.  You can have your CGT refund paid into a UK bank account you just enter your Iban number on the reclaim form.
