Hi All Co-Purchasers.
I like you all, have purchased an apartment, yes it would have been fantastic to have moved in 18 months ago, but i would suggest that we are close to the finish line now. I live in England but have retail stores in Spain and England, and spend a lot of time in Spain and i am assurred that the licences will be issued very soon.I know a lot off you will say we have heard all that before, but we have i think been very unfortunate,my experience of operating a business in Spain is that contrary to popular belief you can get things done and get them done quickly. I decided to open our first store less than 3 years ago,and we now operate 4 large fabric and furniture stores,all needed major refurbishment work, opening licences, store refitting,electrics rewiring and stocking, as well as all the formal company incorporations required. To say that we have not encountered any problems would be simplistic but all the Spanish people have consistently worked hard to help us overcome those problems in a very short space in time and certainly as quick or even quicker than we achieve in England.
I explain all this only to emphasise,that, collectively, we ( the purchasers,thedevelopers and the financiers) have, i believe, encountered a set of circumstances that would have been almost impossible to predict at the outset of this project.Now that the finishing post is in site i suggest we stop attributing blame, and move forward in a positive fashion.
One thing i note is that many people seem concerned about the gym.As somebody suggested in an e-mail there are 72 apartments, fitting a gym need not be expensive,i have access to to many liquidation companies(my company trades in the U.K. as the Famous Bankrupt Shop) and i can source if it was collectively agreed second hand equipment, I ship containers every 3 or 4 weeks so delivery from England is not a problem. However i am sure there are other people who are purchasing who will, as we get to know one another, have other skills and contacts that we can all utilise.
As a footnote i am not in any way trying to( tout) for business but we do carry about 1 million mts of fabric and an excellent range of furniture and home accessories and will offer a 20% discount to any fellow apartment purchasers.
