The only reason I enquired about these screens was because the last time I visited the complex there were workmen who wakened me early in the morning with heavy duty drills and the like. These workmen were actually erecting a screen partition on a downstairs apartment and were also in the process of breaking down the rear wall to install a gate. And on another point, if these partitions are forbidden then why is it that there are more & more of these partitions being erected. I for one also agree with Momac there are more and more garden sheds being erected on upstairs apartments that will also block out views and sunlight.

 

PS. It should make no difference if the apartment is an upper apartment or lower apartment, at the end of the day a screen is a screen.

We are thinking of getting a screen fitted next time we're over

What i need to know is, do you need to have permission to have these screens erected, I would like to find out now before paying upfront.
